For the second year in a row, OCTA has joined with event sponsor Motor Trend to promote and offer discounts to the Orange County International Auto Show.
Held at the Anaheim Convention Center from October 3 to 6, the auto show is the largest publicly attended event in the area, according to Motor Trend. The Orange County International Auto Show features new cars and trucks, a collection of high-end exotic vehicles, tricked-out rides and the opportunity to test drive more than 100 new cars from a dozen manufacturers.
The venue is easy to reach by either bus or Metrolink from Los Angeles or Riverside counties or from elsewhere within Orange County. OCTA is encouraging ridership and attendance by offering free entry on Thursday, October 3 or Friday, October 4 and $3 off the regular ticket price of $12 on Saturday, October 5 or Sunday, October 6 to those who show an OCTA bus pass or Metrolink ticket at the ticket booth.
The same deals are also available to customers with 91 Express Lanes transponders. In fact, if a group drives to the car show together and shows a transponder, everyone in the group will receive a free entry or discounted ticket.
Event attendees can skip traffic and the cost of parking by taking the train. Metrolink's $10 Weekend Day Pass is valid system-wide all day on Saturday or Sunday. From the Anaheim Metrolink Station, riders can show their valid Metrolink ticket for a free ride to the convention center on ART Shuttle Route 15 or OCTA Bus Route 50.
According to show organizers, many took advantage of the discounts last year and used public transportation to attend the car extravaganza. Click here to learn more.
