Arriving February 12, the new 53Xpress is the latest in OCTA’s line of bus services that offer less stop and more go in Orange County. It joins Route 53 as a great way to work, shop, or have fun on Main Street.
With only 12 stops, Route 53X provides faster service and is perfect for longer trips when traveling weekdays between Hutton Center and the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC). Regular Route 53 will continue operating daily between Irvine and Anaheim. It’s a great choice for shorter trips.
The two routes will share select bus stops along the route. Stops for the 53X are clearly identified. The fare is the same for both routes.
OCTA Transit Ambassadors will be onboard buses and at bus stops to share the news and answer questions about the 53X.
