Beginning this week, for up to three months drivers will need to use different routes to access areas near the Camino de Estrella interchange as part of the South County Improvements in San Clemente.
Motorists using the Camino de Estrella on-ramp will be detoured to the Camino Las Ramblas off-ramp. From there, they may continue through the intersection and onto the Camino Las Ramblas on-ramp to northbound I-5, or they may turn left to access Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). Motorists on northbound I-5 who want to exit at Camino Las Ramblas will be detoured to northbound PCH. For more information, click here.
A concrete barrier will separate northbound on-ramp and northbound freeway traffic to ensure the safety of motorists.
The traffic switch will allow crews to safely complete the Camino de Estrella on-ramp and the auxiliary lane to PCH/Camino La Ramblas.
