Bring your family to an event highlighting potential street improvements that can make walking and biking safer and more enjoyable. On October 21, bike, walk, skate, and roll along Hazard Avenue in Garden Grove and discover pop-up safety projects and connect with friends and neighbors while enjoying free activities, a children’s bike rodeo, and giveaways.
Check out the separated bike lane on Hazard Avenue between Ward and Pleasant Streets and the neighborhood greenway that connects Hazard Avenue back to Ward Street. Improvements like these make streets safer and more enjoyable for everyone. Don’t have a bike? Borrow one for free.
OC Bus Routes 35 and 37 pass within walking distance to the event. All OC buses provide bike racks on the front of the bus, so bring your bike along! Check routes and schedules here.
The event is sponsored by the County of Orange, the Cities of Garden Grove, Santa Ana, and Westminster, and Go Human, a community outreach and advertising campaign collaboration between the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) and the health departments and transportation commissions from six counties.
