Have you taken your kid to the ballpark this summer? School is right around the corner.
If cost is holding you back, you’ll be happy to know that kids ride free on the Angels Express throughout August. You can catch six games together at Angel Stadium without paying a dime for train transportation for kids 18 and under. And game tickets are 50 percent off on Aug. 8, 27, and 28 for Angels Express riders.
Aside from affordability, there are plenty of reasons to leave your car home and take the train. You’ll avoid traffic and parking hassles and enjoy partying with other fans. And there’s something about a train ride that makes the trip special. Most of all, though, you’ll get to spend quality time with your kid without distractions. And that is priceless.
With 28,913 boardings on Angels Express trains this year as of July 27, ridership is up three percent compared to last year. Baseball fans who use these Metrolink trains leave traffic and parking hassles behind and help take more cars off the road. With funding from Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC), OCTA has offered this special service for eight years.
