Signal Synchronization Coming to Warner Avenue

A project to synchronize traffic signals along 13 miles of Warner Avenue is moving forward following the selection of vendor Iteris, Inc. to provide engineering services.

The project will synchronize the timing of traffic signals in 42 intersections from Pacific Coast Highway to Pullman Street through Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach and Santa Ana.

Signal synchronization allows drivers to save time by helping them encounter the most green lights during peak traffic hours. It also reduces fuel costs and greenhouse gas emissions.

The project is being primarily funded by SB 1, the Solutions for Congested Corridors Program, along with OC Go, Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements, also known as Measure M.
