As part of OC Bus 360°, a comprehensive plan to improve and sustain bus service and enhance the customer experience, OCTA has adjusted fares that affect service on fixed-route and express buses.
OCTA proposed these changes after conducting a fare study. Stakeholders were invited to provide feedback at three public meetings, a public hearing, and through online and print surveys.
Following this feedback, OCTA adopted new fare changes. Effective February 12, 2017, the 5-Rides and 7-Day passes will be eliminated and the 200 and 700 series OC Bus Routes will be recategorized and their fares raised to reflect the longer trip distances. Effective October 8, 2017, fare eligibility requirements will be enforced at point of sale.
