Each spring and fall, OCTA offers a free day of public transportation training for service animals and their handlers.
On Saturday, April 11, Service Animal Training Day returns to Anaheim at the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC). The event helps service animals become more comfortable with the sights, sounds, and movement of buses and trains, while building confidence and independence.
Participants can take unlimited rides on OC Bus along a special route designed to provide a comprehensive training experience, including travel through the Downtown Disney District® and Anaheim GardenWalk®. In addition, participants may ride a Metrolink train; standard Metrolink fares apply.
OCTA launched the Service Animal Training program in 1995 and remains one of the few public transportation agencies to offer this unique opportunity.
