Record-Setting Training Day Was Something to Wag About

Twice a year, OCTA conducts free training for service animals and their humans to help them experience the sights and sounds of public transportation. The training promotes independence and confidence and attracts participants from near and far to ride the bus again and again in a friendly, supportive environment.

Director Andrew Do, also Orange County's First District Supervisor, dropped by to visit with the dogs and their handlers at what turned out to be a record-setting event. More than 200 people attended the training at ARTIC in Anaheim, an increase of approximately 25 percent. OCTA will offer the next Service Animal Training Day on Saturday, Oct. 6.
