Metrolink, in coordination with OCTA, will be hosting a virtual meeting for the Serra Siding Extension Project, which proposes to extend 1.2 miles of railroad siding track from Victoria Boulevard to Beach Road in the City of Dana Point. The project also proposes to replace the existing single-track railroad bridge over Coast Highway with two single-track bridges, among other improvements.
The project is currently in the environmental and predesign phase, and Metrolink is seeking the community’s feedback. The virtual meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and will be conducted in English and Spanish. Register here. Participants will learn more about the project and the environmental review process.
Metrolink is preparing an Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the project and is seeking comments regarding the scope and content of the EIR. The deadline to submit comments is Wednesday, March 10. A Notice of Preparation (NOP) containing a description of the project is available here. For more information about the project or to sign up for email alerts, visit here.
