The 26th annual Stuff-a-Bus event got off to a chilly start early on Dec. 14 and finished up with a heartwarming collection of bikes and unwrapped toys. The toys filled 23 buses and will be distributed to children in the community.
The event supports the Spark of Love Toy Drive and is sponsored by OCTA, ABC7, the Honda Center, and the Anaheim Ducks.
“There’s no better way to spend the holidays than giving back to children who need a little help and a smile,” said OCTA Chairwoman Lisa Bartlett. “The Stuff-A-Bus event is a perfect opportunity to do just that.”
OCTA Directors Andrew Do and Gregory Winterbottom stopped by the collection site at the Honda Center to encourage the participants. All donations benefit the Spark of Love Toy Drive, a program that has collected more than 10 million toys for kids in Southern California over the past two decades.
Firefighters from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura counties have supported the Spark of Love Toy Drive for more than 20 years.
