Hundreds gathered earlier this month to celebrate the contributions of African Americans at the 36th Annual Orange County Black History Month Parade & Cultural Faire in Anaheim. Many chose to leave their cars at home and avoided traffic and parking hassles by taking OC Bus or Metrolink or Amtrak Pacific Surfliner trains. The event was sponsored by the Orange County Heritage Council.
Director Tom Tait, also mayor of Anaheim, Lucille Kring, mayor pro tem of Anaheim, and OCTA representatives joined in the annual event and took the time to show actress and model Kellita Smith, the parade’s grand marshal, around one of the clean, comfortable OC Buses.
