The Association of Bicycle and Pedestrian Professionals (APBP) has launched a series of monthly webinars on bike and pedestrian issues. The 90-minute webinars will focus on the engineering, education, enforcement, evaluation and planning on bike and pedestrian projects.
OCTA will host the monthly webinars at the headquarters in Orange as a resource for city staff, advocates and stakeholders. This month's webinar, about a complete streets initiative in Boston, will be held on Wednesday, March 19 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Those who are interested in viewing the webinar for free with other local participants at OCTA's headquarters in Orange may RSVP online. Alternatively, individual registration is also available for a fee at apbp.org.
The Complete Street Guidelines webinar will offer insights into the collaboration within the city of Boston to develop and implement guidelines for developing complete streets.
The guidelines represent a change in the city's approach to street design and operations, and showcase the vision for a more walkable, bikeable and transit-friendly city. A free download of the guidelines is available here.
