OCTA’s Interactive Bus Display Reopens After Renovations

Thanks to a recent makeover, Buster the Bus and the rest of OCTA’s interactive display at the Children’s Museum at La Habra will be even better at educating and entertaining children. To celebrate and display the improvements, the museum will hold a ribbon cutting on Oct. 7.

With support from OCTA, Buster the Bus received a complete renovation this summer including fresh paint, new upholstery, and updated signage. Buster, a real bus that was once in service in Orange County, was donated to the museum 20 years ago. Buster’s refurbishment was sponsored by MV Transportation, Inc. OCTA also added a bus bench and bus stop sign.

The Children's Museum at La Habra opened in December 1977 and is located in a historic 1923 Train Depot. The museum features seven galleries, 14 hands-on exhibits, an outdoor dinosaur topiary and a historic 1942 caboose. Admission is $8 per person, with free admission for children ages two and younger.

The museum is located at 301 S. Euclid Street in La Habra, and can be reached on the following OCTA bus routes:

  • Route 37: Serves the cities of Fountain Valley, Westminster, Santa Ana, Garden Grove, Anaheim, Fullerton and La Habra.
  • Route 129: Serves the cities of Anaheim, Placentia, Yorba Linda, Brea and La Habra
