OCTA Public Outreach Team Shares I-405 Improvement Project News and Opportunities

OCTA's I-405 Project Public Outreach Team met recently with the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce as part of its mission to share information about upcoming improvements along the I-405.

As a member of the Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce and other local organizations, OCTA keeps the business community informed about Orange County’s transportation and infrastructure projects and promotes involvement opportunities. OCTA encourages small and minority-owned businesses to participate in projects.

For the I-405 Improvement Project, OCTA is working in cooperation with Caltrans to widen the I-405 between SR-73 and I-605. The project will improve 16 miles of the I-405 and includes adding one regular lane in each direction from Euclid Street to I-605 and making improvements to freeway entrances, exits and bridges. It also will construct the 405 Express Lanes from SR-73 to I-605. The new express lanes – incorporating the existing carpool lanes – will provide two lanes in each direction and give solo drivers the choice to speed up their commute for a toll.
