To help Orange County celebrate Lunar New Year, OCTA is providing additional bus service and admission discounts to at the largest Tet Festival outside of Vietnam. The event will be held at the OC Fair & Event Center on Feb. 7, 8, and 9 and is expected to attract thousands.
OCTA is adding trips on Routes 47, 55, 71 and 178 during the festival on Saturday and Sunday to make it more convenient for guests. Schedules are available at octa.net/TetFestival.
In addition, OCTA worked with festival organizers to offer a significant discount to those who take the bus to the event. OCTA bus riders will receive $4 off the $5 admission price when they show their bus pass. Those who wear traditional Vietnamese attire to the opening ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 8 between 10 a.m. and noon will get free admission.
OCTA is promoting the event onboard buses and online at octa.net/TetFestival to let Orange County residents know about bus service to the OC Fair & Event Center. At the festival, the OCTA outreach team will be on hand to share the many ways OCTA keeps Orange County moving.
