Earlier this year, OCTA launched the Eat Shop Play program, which supports Santa Ana businesses located along the future OC Streetcar route by offering marketing assistance to increase exposure and foot traffic during construction.
Participation in the program is free and includes benefits to businesses such as social media and email marketing, print and digital ads, professional photography and videography and coupon promotions.
Recently, with the evolving situation around COVID-19 and the stay- at-home order issued by Governor Newsom, many of the businesses along the alignment have temporarily switched to pick-up and to-go orders only.
During this challenging time, the program’s focus has shifted to using Instagram and Facebook ads to promote participating businesses offering to-go and pick-up services, such as La Vegana Mexicana and Furr Friends Pet Supply.
