OC Streetcar Is 90 Percent Complete

Construction of the OC Streetcar is moving forward and is now 90 percent complete. Major work is continuing on the OC Streetcar’s Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF) in Santa Ana.

The OC Streetcar vehicles are being manufactured by Siemens in northern California and will be delivered to the MSF and stored there. The first vehicle is expected to be delivered in the spring and vehicle delivery will continue throughout the summer. Testing will follow in select locations.

The streetcar will carry passengers between the busy Santa Ana transit center and a new transit hub at Harbor Boulevard and Westminster Avenue in Garden Grove. Vehicles will run along Santa Ana Boulevard, Fourth Street and the Pacific Electric right-of-way and connect with OCTA’s busiest bus routes.

Six vehicles – with two spares – will operate daily, making stops at 10 locations in each direction every 10 to 15 minutes. Learn more here.
