OC Bus Will Offer Free, Safe Travel on New Year’s Eve

On New Year’s Eve, OCTA will continue its tradition of offering free rides on all fixed-route buses from 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 until 2:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 1, 2016.

Since 2002, nearly 130,000 people have left the driving, parking and traffic to OCTA on this traditional evening of ongoing festivities. OCTA provides 556 buses traveling on 77 designated routes with stops at more than 6,200 bus stops in Orange County, making the bus one of the safest and most convenient ways to get around on New Year’s Eve.

Direct mail pieces were sent to residents in Fullerton, Orange and Santa Ana highlighting the routes in each city that connect to local New Year’s Eve festivities. Details on routes, schedules and trip planning are also available online to help everyone have a successful, safe experience on OC Bus.
