As the OC Bus Mobile Ticketing App moves forward with beta testing, the future of bus travel is right around the corner. This app eliminates the hassle of paper tickets and allows users to easily buy and display bus passes and specialty passes on their smartphones. The boarding process is quicker for passengers and simpler for coach operators so all can get underway more efficiently.
Beta testing on Intercounty Express Routes 701, 721, and 794 begins May 9. In addition to helping fellow travelers, beta testers have the opportunity to win a free 30-day pass on the mobile app.
Routes and services will be rolled during the next year and will include the popular OC Fair Express this summer. The app is expected to launch across the entire bus system later this year.
