As part of ongoing efforts to improve bus service through the OC Bus 360° initiative, OCTA introduced improved routes and mobile app readers on Feb. 11.
The service improvements included changing seven routes to provide more efficient and effective service along with minor adjustments to 33 other routes and eliminating three bus routes due to low ridership. OC Bus now offers improved service in the evening, on weekends, and during peak weekday hours to provide more flexibility for Orange County riders.
In addition, mobile app readers are now fully operational throughout the fleet. Now, riders who purchase their fares via the OC Bus app can scan their passes as they board, which helps speed up the boarding process.
