OCTA’s new mobile ticketing app is ready to roll for riders on OC Bus Express Routes 701, 721, and 794 and OC Fair Express shuttles. The free app eliminates the hassle of paper tickets and allows users to easily buy and display bus passes and specialty passes on their smartphones. Boarding is quicker for passengers and simpler for coach operators so all can get underway more efficiently.
With mobile ticketing, riding the bus is easier and more convenient than ever. There’s no need to carry cash or exact change, and fares can be added instantly using a debit/credit card or PayPal. Fares and passes can be purchased quickly and simply by phone or computer.
Mobile ticketing for college passes and regular fares will arrive later this year. OCTA will continue to accept cash and magnetic paper passes.
