OCTA’s Youth Summer Pass will be back this summer for youth ages 6 to 18. Popular among kids and their parents, the pass will be available in June for the unbeatable price of only $20 for 30 days of unlimited rides on OC Bus.
To identify destinations appealing to young riders, OCTA turned to its Teen Council, a group of high school students who engage in transportation-related discussions and projects with OCTA staff and their peers. Their selections, including Knott’s Berry Farm, The Outlets at Orange, and Huntington Beach, are highlighted along with their corresponding bus routes on the Youth Summer Pass webpage.
New this year is a photo contest that encourages pass holders to snap, share and win by taking a selfie with a special decal onboard select OC Buses. Weekly prizes include gift cards and tickets to Knott’s Berry Farm.
Also, beginning June 1 OCTA will offer the Youth Summer Pass on the OC Bus mobile app. OCTA is one of the first transportation agencies in the country to offer specialty passes via a convenient mobile app that allows riders to make purchases on their smartphones.
