Metrolink’s New Pass Reflects the Way We Work Now

Metrolink’s 5-Day Flex Pass responds to commuting patterns post COVID-19. It features five one-day passes that can used any time during a 30-day period, making it ideal for those who go into the office less frequently. It can also be used for weekend travel.

The 5-Day Flex Pass is available only on the Metrolink Mobile App. To purchase, riders choose their origin and destination stations, then select 5-Day Flex Pass from the ticket menu. Once the pass is purchased, five one-day passes appear in the Mobile App ticket wallet. A pass is activated on the day of travel and expires at the end of the day.

The 5-Day Flex Pass is a good value, too. Offered at a 10 percent discount compared to one-way and round-trip ticket prices, it can also be used in conjunction with other reduced-ticket types, such as student or senior passes.

Metrolink continues to prioritize safety for its passengers. Face coverings are required aboard Metrolink trains and on station platforms. In addition, Metrolink has implemented enhanced deep cleaning protocols including the use of an electrostatic sprayer that mists each train car with hospital grade disinfectants every day, and an expanded Clean Care Crew that cleans, wipes down and disinfects trains throughout the day. Additionally, Metrolink has retained service levels and continually monitors ridership to ensure there’s plenty of space for social distancing.
