Metrolink Offers Special “Rail Series” Service as Angels Express Scores Record-Breaking Season

As the Angels and the Dodgers battle it out this week in an exciting freeway series at stadiums in Los Angeles and Anaheim, Metrolink and OCTA will provide fans of both teams with transportation that helps them avoid traffic and parking hassles.

The teams play in Los Angeles on Aug. 4-5 and in Anaheim on Aug. 6-7. Both teams are on track to make the playoffs this season, so fans won’t want to miss this exciting freeway series.

On Aug. 4 and 5, Metrolink will offer special train service special train service on the Orange County Line from Oceanside to Los Angeles thanks to support from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC).

From Union Station, a shuttle will take fans to Dodger Stadium for free with a valid Metrolink ticket. The train going home will depart one hour after the game ends.

On Aug. 6 and 7, the series will continue its momentum in Anaheim, with Angels Express service service transporting fans to the game on the Orange County Line.

With a record-breaking 29,500 boardings on the Angels Express so far this season, more fans than ever are discovering how easy and fun it is to ride the train to the game. Recent promotions such as July’s “Kids Ride Free” offer for those 18 and younger encourage ridership. On the seven days the promotion was in effect, the average daily boardings increased by 42 percent.
