Here are some efforts underway to help cyclists, walkers, schools and others enjoy more mobility throughout the county.
- E-bike Safety Action Planadvanced with continued coordination among local agencies and stakeholders, focusing on education, data and policy strategies to improve e-bike safety across Orange County.
- Next STEP supported Safe Routes of School efforts, completing 22 walk audits and engaging 36 schools to improve walking safety through evaluations and education.
- OC Connect progressed into the design phase for 3.1 miles of proposed off-street biking and walking paths in Santa Ana and Garden Grove, supporting safer and more connected travel.
- Move OC will begin development later this year to create an updated countywide active transportation plan, informing future infrastructure, programming, policy and funding recommendations and helping position local cities for future funding opportunities.
