OCTA is launching a Teen Council that will provide members with experience in the multifaceted issues associated with land use and transportation. This is a great opportunity for high school students to beef up their college applications.
Participants will build leadership, communication, and teamwork skills, while engaging in community service projects and transportation-related discussions. They will also gain insights on emerging trends and learn about the variety of disciplines required to run this business.
The OCTA Teen Council is a service-oriented group of students that requires participation in meetings and activities throughout the year. An application is required and the deadline is coming up fast. Applicants must be age 13 to 18 as of Sept. 1, 2014, reside in Orange County, and entering grades 9 to 12 at a public or private school located in Orange County. This is a great opportunity to put great ideas to good use!
