OCTA and Metrolink are hosting a community open house to provide an update on the improvements along the Los Angeles – San Diego – San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) Corridor, between the Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station and Trabuco Creek in San Juan Capistrano.
The project will add approximately 1.8 miles of passing siding railroad track adjacent to the existing mainline railroad track. The passing siding track will allow trains traveling in opposite directions to pass each other, reducing the amount of time trains spend waiting for opposing trains. Improvements along the corridor make passenger service safer, more reliable, and more efficient.
