Labor Day Signals the End to Free Rides on Most City Shuttles

If you’ve been putting off that relaxing trip to some of OC’s popular towns, now is the time to do it! Labor Day weekend marks the end of summer service on the many free, convenient shuttles that eliminate the hassles of driving and parking in great destinations like Laguna Beach, San Clemente, San Juan Capistrano, Dana Point, Huntington Beach, and the Newport/Balboa peninsula. The attractions will still be there after Labor Day, but you’ll have to work a lot harder to get to them in your personal vehicle.

Many shuttles connect to each other and to transit and Metrolink stops, making it easier to travel without a car. These transportation services are partially funded by Measure M (also known as OC Go), which puts tax dollars to work locally.

Make the most of what remains of summer and check out the free summer shuttles here. Many operate only on weekends and end on Sept. 3. The San Clemente shuttle will operate through Sept. 30. Learn about the free summer shuttles here.
