Free Summer Bus Service Returns for Laguna Beach Fun

After a successful debut last year, the Laguna Beach Summer Breeze is back to help visitors get to the many attractions offered in the popular beach town without sitting in traffic or hunting for parking. The familiar blue-and-white OC Bus will serve the route through Laguna Canyon (Route 689) but will carry Laguna Beach Summer Breeze bus signs on the front.

Every summer, people come from all over to experience unique Laguna Beach events like the Sawdust Art & Craft Festival, the Pageant of the Masters, and productions at the Laguna Playhouse, as well as one-of-a-kind local shops and restaurants along Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and beautiful sandy beaches.

From July 1 to Sept. 3, the free Laguna Beach Summer Breeze will be available on weekends to transport visitors from a conveniently located, freeway-close parking lot all the way to the beach, connecting with popular places and events as well as the Laguna Beach Trolley, a free summer transit system that has served the PCH area for several years.

The Laguna Beach Summer Breeze makes a loop beginning at the SR-133/I-405 parking lot and continues along Laguna Canyon Road with stops at the Sawdust Art & Craft Festival, the Laguna Art-A-Fair, the Festival of Arts, the Pageant of the Masters, the Laguna Playhouse and the Laguna Beach Bus Station, where it meets the Laguna Beach Trolley. The bus station is a block from the beach.

The Laguna Beach City Council approved funding for the bus service to ease traffic congestion along Laguna Canyon Road and to reduce the number of cars entering downtown.
