For the 15th year, OCTA will offer free bus rides from 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 31 to 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, January 1. The community service makes it safe and convenient for Orange County residents to celebrate without worrying about driving and parking.
Those planning on taking the bus should plan their routes in advance by using the OCTA online trip planner or speaking to a friendly, knowledgeable customer service specialist at (714) 636-7433. Not all routes offer late night service, so please check your route schedule for times of service.
Among the many places to go on this festive evening is the 25th annual First Night in Downtown Fullerton. Several bus routes serve this free, family-friendly event, which offers live entertainment, rides, food and a fireworks show.
Last year, nearly 7,000 riders took advantage of the free bus service on New Year’s Eve and more than 135,000 have used it since it began in 2002.
