Large and small, old and young, pedigreed and mutt, they arrived at ARTIC in Anaheim on Oct. 6 to learn how to ride the bus. Service animals comfortable with the sights, sounds, and rhythms of public transportation allow their handlers to travel to work, shopping, and more with confidence and independence.
Twice a year, OCTA conducts free training for service animals and their humans to increase familiarity with bus riding. More than 150 participants took repeated rides on OC Bus, including the sights and sounds of Downtown Disney District® and Anaheim Garden Walk®, with an option to add a Metrolink train journey to their training program.
