Events near Metrolink Stations You Won’t Want to Miss

This post is about fun events near Metrolink stations, and it’s also about food. The two often go together.

First up is the 110th anniversary celebration at Philippe the Original. A five-minute walk from LA’s Union Station, Phillipe’s is a Metrolink commuter favorite. Home of the legendary French Dip, the iconic restaurant serves amazing food – and on Oct. 1 from 4 – 8 pm you can enjoy a beef, pork, ham, or turkey dip for only $1.10. Show your Metrolink ticket and pick up a free Philippe the Original t-shirt.

Next is the San Clemente Seafest on Oct. 7, a great day of family fun with a surf contest, arts and crafts show, and a U.S. Coast Guard rescue demonstration. The chowder cook-off is locally world famous, and you can help decide the winner.

The venue is right next to the Metrolink station at the San Clemente Pier station. Step off the train, and you’re there – relaxed and ready after avoiding traffic by riding the train.

Taking Metrolink to the event is very affordable. Adults can travel all day on Saturday or Sunday for just $10. Have kids 5 years old and under? Each paying adult can bring up to three free.

You can also enter to win two free Metrolink tickets. Click here to enter and learn more about the San Clemente Seafest.
