Throughout southern California, businesses partner with OCTA and other transportation agencies to learn about and benefit from ridesharing initiatives. Within many of these organizations, Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) serve as local rideshare contacts for employees and provide helpful information about ridesharing options including transit routes and potential carpool and vanpool matching.
Twice a year, OCTA and other agencies conduct virtual training to help ETCs market ridesharing opportunities to their employees. The workshops support corporate South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) requirements.
In September, OCTA joined LA Metro, the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority, the Riverside County Transportation Commission and the Ventura County Transportation Commission to present information about Rideshare Week marketing tips, employee rideshare newsletter ideas and hybrid working policy updates and best practices to 163 attendees.
