Construction is underway on OC Streetcar in Santa Ana to connect employees with workplaces, shoppers with merchants, schools with students and communities with each other.
To assist the vibrant business corridor along 4th Street in Downtown Santa Ana (DTSA) and encourage patrons to visit, OCTA conducts a variety of outreach efforts.
The popular Eat Shop Play program has expanded to more than 70 participants to support businesses located along the future OC Streetcar route by offering marketing assistance to increase exposure and foot traffic during construction.
Some of the efforts include increased signage such “All Businesses Open” banners and portable electronic message signs in and around the project corridor, business directory signage, digital marquees around the City of Santa Ana, banners representing individual businesses, 50 sidewalk decals pointing patrons from the parking structures to DTSA and more.
In addition to increased signage, OCTA is reaching out to diverse communities with radio, print, Spotify and social media ads to showcase DTSA businesses. On April 9, OCTA partnered with the popular Que Buena radio station to host an event at the Plaza Calle Cuatro. During the live event, sweepstake offers included gift cards to 4th Street businesses.
OCTA will continue to share information and promote DTSA businesses around the county and beyond.
