OCTA continues to invest in meaningful community outreach to engage with residents and gather valuable feedback through surveys.
During the past few weekends, OCTA’s Public Outreach Team participated in the Lunar New Year event at Santa Ana’s Tet Festival, the Lunar New Year’s Eve Celebration hosted by Director Tam Nguyen and the UVSA Tet Festival, both in Garden Grove, and the annual Black History Month Parade and Unity Festival in Anaheim.
At the booths at community events, team members share information about OCTA, offer activities for children, and collect survey information.
The most recent survey pertains to Wave, a paperless fare payment system that will allow transit riders to pay only for rides taken rather than the fixed dollar amount on paper passes. Community meetings and feedback collection about Wave will continue through March. Learn more here.
