When it comes to the I-405 Improvement Project, communication is almost as critical as construction.
OCTA’s largest construction project spans six cities and will replace and widen 18 bridges to deliver a general-purpose lane and a tolled Express Lane facility in each direction along its 16 miles.
Not surprisingly, many people are interested in what’s happening now and activities occurring in the coming months.
Two recent neighborhood meetings in March each attracted more than 25 people who came to hear about work on the Bolsa Avenue and Westminster Boulevard bridges. They learned about the structure’s traffic shift, demolition and reconstruction, and had the opportunity to speak directly with OCTA representatives.
Earlier in the month, OCTA hosted a meeting that included HOA representatives, large businesses, shopping centers, school districts, and other key stakeholders within the project corridor. Conducted approximately every quarter, this forum allows attendees to ask questions, share concerns, and coordinate with OCTA about the best ways to communicate with colleagues, constituents and customers
