A group of city officials toured the 405 Express Lanes on March 3 to learn more about the role of the managed lanes in improving regional travel.
Led by OCTA CEO Darrell Johnson, the group included Los Alamitos Mayor Pro Tem Tanta Doby, Newport Beach Council Member Robyn Grant, Seal Beach Mayor Pro Tem Nathan Steele and Yorba Linda Mayor Janice Lim.
Johnson and OCTA staff provided the group with an in-depth look at the corridor’s operations and impact. The tour included a visit to the 405 Express Lanes Customer Service Center in Costa Mesa and a discussion about lane management and commuter benefits. Next, the group visited the 405 Express Lanes Traffic Operations Center in Santa Ana for a behind-the-scenes look at how real-time traffic monitoring and management enhance mobility along this critical corridor.
