Celebrate the Lunar New Year with OCTA

The most celebrated holiday of the year for the nearly 1.5 million people of Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese descent living in Southern California, Lunar New Year gets a big welcome with two great events that each draw more than 100,000 people.
 

Tet Festival in Costa Mesa
The largest Tet Festival in the world is coming to the OC Fairgrounds Feb. 20-22. The three-day event immerses visitors in traditional foods, entertainment, games and more. OCTA is even offering extended bus service during the event on Routes 47, 55, 71 and 178. The best part is that riders can save $3 on admission with a valid bus pass. Learn more.

 

Golden Dragon Parade in Los Angeles
Now in it's 116th year, the Golden Dragon Parade and Festival features floats, performances, shopping and more. The best way to get there is on a Metrolink train, which costs only $10 to ride all day with the Weekend Day Pass. However, you can participate in our online giveaway for a chance to ride freeBus Routes 1, 25, 26, 29, 43, 47, 50, 53, 54, 56, 59, 70, 82, 83, 85, 90, 91, 143, 153, 191 and 543 all provide connections to Orange County Metrolink stations.
