There’s never been a better time to try BikeShare, the OCTA bikesharing program that lets cyclists check out bikes at 11 locations in Fullerton for quick errands or to make the first or last mile connection to Metrolink.
In celebration of Bike Month, OCTA has reduced the cost of an annual BikeShare membership by 20 percent. Those who buy in May can enjoy the benefits of bikesharing all year at a substantially reduced rate. The price of a regular membership drops to only $60, a savings of $15. Students can shave $9 off the standard price of $45 to pay only $36.
That’s a lot of bike riding for a small investment. Annual members can use the BikeShare system for an unlimited number of 30-minute trips. It’s a great opportunity to try something new, such as integrating a bike ride with a daily commute. Check out a bike at one station and ride to another close to your destination.
A BikeShare annual membership also makes a great gift for students and others who want to combine convenient transportation with a little exercise. Learn more about BikeShare here.
