Those who rely on the 91 Express Lanes have another reason to be thankful on Thanksgiving.

The project will also rebuild 18 bridges and improve freeway access and traffic on local streets.

Repaving of the eastbound lanes was completed last month, and crews began repaving the westbound lanes.

Say goodbye to the old bridge and hello to the new one over Avenida Pico in San Clemente.

Westbound 91 Express Lanes will close from 8 p.m. Friday, October 21 to 4 a.m. Monday, October 24.

Motorists using the Camino de Estrella on-ramp will be detoured to the Camino Las Ramblas off-ramp.

Work will begin on the westbound lanes on October 14 and continue for five weekends.

The project will extend the pavement’s lifespan for decades and provide a safe, smooth commute.

For more than 20 years, the 91 Express Lanes has helped people connect with life’s most important moments.
