Since 2008, OCTA has funded 79 projects that have synchronized more than 2,700 intersections across 705 miles to improve travel time and reduce congestion.
At the Bolsa Chica Road bridge, the length of the span helped determine a time-saving approach by using concrete box girders to rebuild the new bridge instead of using wooden falsework.
