OCTA and Other Organizations Help Anaheim Kids Learn Bike Safety

During the last weekend in March, Anaheim residents gathered at Maxwell Park for Cruise with a Cop to join mascot Oscar El Oso and the Anaheim Police Department for helmet fittings and bicycle safety inspections. Families also decorated their helmets, learned about bicycle safety from the Orange County Health Care Agency, and received tips on where to ride in Orange County from OCTA’s OC Active team. Attendees, big and small, also provided the OC Active team with feedback on why they ride and what set of wheels they use most often (bike, skateboard, scooter, etc.). Oscar El Oso then led a bike ride through the park.

OCTA’s OC Active team organized the event in partnership with the Anaheim Police Department, Orange County Health Care Agency, California Office of Traffic Safety and Anaheim Community Services.  Learn more about OC Active here.
