Learn to Ride OC Bus with a Free New Program

OCTA’s new Transit Training workshops can help people develop confident bus-riding skills online before heading out to explore Orange County. With more than 500 fixed-route buses and nearly 5,500 bus stops, OC Bus is a great, safe way to visit shops and museums, run errands and get to appointments, or enjoy a day of fun.

Designed for groups of 10 to 20, registrants can participate from the comfort and safety of their homes. In addition to English, upon request workshops are available in Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean and Mandarin.

Training includes trip planning, fare options, how to safely board and exit, and ADA accessibility standards and using mobility devices.

Once training is complete, those who complete a survey will receive two free one-day bus passes.

Safety has always been OCTA’s highest priority, and OC Bus continues to be a safe way to get across town or across county. Face masks are required on public transit and OCTA continues to follow health requirements and guidance from federal, state and local agencies to prioritize the health and safety of riders and employees.
