Summer Campaign Is Part Travel Guide, Part Adventure, and All Metrolink

To encourage summer Metrolink ridership, OCTA created a special promotion that answers the question, “Where can you go for fun?”  The answer is the Seven Summer Treasures website, packed with an amazing array of fun destinations—all within walking distance from Metrolink stations in Orange County and beyond.

The website showcases great places to take Metrolink with friends and family, such as San Juan Capistrano, Orange, Fullerton and Santa Ana, for great food, shopping, culture and bike rides. Locations range from urban explorations in Downtown Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Pasadena to a petting zoo for the kids in San Juan Capistrano. Of course, riders can start their adventure in Irvine or Tustin for beach days in San Clemente and Oceanside.

Adventurers can have a great interactive experience on their desktop computers, tablets or mobile phones, because the Seven Summer Treasures website adapts to any device. They can plan a trip at home and take the details along – or change course on the go.

As an incentive to increase website usage and participation, a sweepstakes drawing gives participants a chance to win hundreds of great prizes, including Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® tickets and Metrolink passes. Plus, adventurers are encouraged to share photos of their adventure on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter using #Metrolink7.

The Seven Summer Treasures promotion began at the end of June and runs through September 1. With more than 9,000 unique visitors to the site and 7,600 video views, the promotion is well on its way to helping Orange County residents discover both fun summer destinations and Metrolink.
