Resilient Downtown Santa Ana Moves Forward with Eat, Shop, Play

Resilient Downtown Santa Ana (DTSA) is moving forward with help from OCTA’s Eat Shop Play program. Eat Shop Play supports Santa Ana businesses along the future OC Streetcar route by increasing visibility during construction.

Recent DTSA advancements include more dining options, popular virtual events, and convenient advance ordering for seasonal produce at the farmers’ market.

Al fresco dining is now offered at eight temporary parking lots along 4th Street/Calle Cuatro and restaurant patios. Sidewalk dining and free takeout parking are also available.

Given the fluidity of restrictions pertaining to dining during the pandemic, it’s always a good idea to call ahead to make sure that a restaurant is open.

The DTSA Farmers’ Market is open with new hours on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Customers can also order a farm box to pick up.

In addition, the monthly DTSA Artwalk can be enjoyed on Facebook Live at here or here.

Participation in Eat Shop Play is free and includes benefits to businesses such as social media and email distribution, print and digital ads, professional photography and videography and coupon promotions. To date, 27 businesses have signed up ranging from restaurants, arts and entertainment to shopping and health, beauty and wellness. Businesses can learn more and sign up here.

Through Eat Shop Play, those who enjoy vibrant Downtown Santa Ana can find deals at businesses displaying the OC Streetcar decal and learn about events by signing up for the OC Streetcar Newsletter here.
