OCTA Wins Four Awards for Projects and Programs

OCTA won four awards from the Orange County Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America during the professional organization’s 40th annual Protos Awards.

The awards were given for a wide range of projects and programs that illustrate the breadth of services provided by OCTA to the people of Orange County.

Based on OCTA’s extensive “Be the One” campaign to raise awareness of human trafficking, the press conference for the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force took the top PROTOS Award.

The OCTA Diversity Outreach Program Strategy and Work Plan won an Award of Excellence.  Through its outreach program, OCTA builds relationships with diverse communities to strengthen communications and raise awareness.

The Metrolink Seven Summer Treasures Campaign, an online marketing program, also received an Award of Excellence.  From June to September 2014, the program helped Orange County residents discover both fun destinations and Metrolink through an extensive campaign and interactive website that attracted more than 9,000 unique visitors and 7,600 video views.

The West County Connectors, which created a seamless carpool connection among three freeways (Interstate 405, Interstate 605, and State Route 22), won an Award of Excellence for community relations.
