New Venue for Popular Service Animal Training Day

Twice a year, OC Bus offers service animals and their trainers the opportunity to experience riding a public transit bus. On Saturday, April 1, the event will move to a new venue at the Goldenwest Transportation Center in Huntington Beach. Participants are invited to experience the sights and sounds of Huntington Beach Central Park, Shipley Nature Center, Huntington Beach Dog Beach, Huntington Beach Pier and downtown.

Buses will run on a practice route every 20 minutes from 8:00 am to 12:20 p.m. and are designed to offer the real-world experience of getting on and off the bus. They will stop at OC Bus stops in designated areas along the route. The last bus picks up at Huntington Beach Pier at 12:40 p.m.

Check in for the free event with unlimited rides begins at 7:30 a.m. near Bus Dock 8.  For more information about Service Animal Training Day, click here.
