Join OCTA for a Free Equestrian Ride This Weekend

Bring your horse and explore the wilds of Orange County with an equestrian ride through beautiful Trabuco Canyon on Saturday, Oct. 20. On designated dates, OCTA offers access on foot and horseback to some of Orange County’s permanently protected open spaces.

The Trabuco Rose Preserve is a 396-acre parcel located northwest of the City of Rancho Santa Margarita in Trabuco Canyon. Bordered by the Cleveland National Forest to the north, Trabuco Creek to the south, and Hickey Creek to the west, the Preserve features rolling terrain with elevations ranging from 1,120 to 1,650 feet above sea level.

Registration is required for these docent-led group equestrian rides. Riders must bring their own horse and participants must be 12 years and over. All riders are required to sign a liability waiver and minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Space is limited. To register and learn more about the equestrian rides and hikes, visit here or contact Marissa Espino at mespino@octa.net or 714.560.5607.
