Following Triennial Review, FTA Awards OCTA a Perfect Score

To help fund projects throughout Orange County, OCTA occasionally receives grants from the Federal Transit Agency (FTA). One of the FTA’s management tools for examining grantee performance and adherence to current FTA requirements and policies is the Triennial Review.

The FTA conducts Triennial Reviews every three years to ensure compliance with federal regulations a demanding process that looks into every aspect of operations. Recently, the FTA conducted a Triennial Review at OCTA and gave the agency a perfect score.

FTA representatives complimented several OCTA programs as the best they’ve seen in the nation, including:

  • Disadvantaged Business Enterprise
  • Vehicle and Facility Maintenance
  • ADA Appeals Process
  • Echo Back-up Documentation
  • Title VI
  • Subrecipient and Contractor Oversight

The FTA reviewers also strongly praised OCTA’s procurement process and were impressed by the teamwork among OCTA staff that spanned all divisions.
